Our highly skilled team can work with all decorative ornamental plasterwork, including Elizabethan, Jacobean, neoclassical and classical wall and ceiling decoration, ornamented with architectural plaster elements of foliage, scrolls, urns and motifs. We can restore, repair and reproduce all styles of decorative ornamental plasterwork.
We ensure that highly enriched cornices, friezes and decorative door surrounds are all either conserved, repaired or reinstated to match the period and style of the original executed work. To this end, we reproduce cornices and mouldings using in situ running moulds of all descriptions. The result is beautifully crafted plasterwork to suit the desired feature, whether that be straight, elliptical or curved.
In our small studio, moulds and casts are lovingly made and range from egg and dart or bead and reel through to floral decorations, scrolls, acanthus leaves and water leaves.
Our master craftsmen also repair ceilings where neglect, fire or water ingress have resulted in plasterwork damage. We take great pride in all the work we do, working closely with the National Trust, private clients and Governing bodies on properties ranging from the Georgian, Regency and Victorian periods.
Over the years, we have been fortunate enough to repair and restore decorative plasterwork which was first executed by master plasterers including Joseph Rose, Francisco Vasari, Pritchard and Bromfield.
